Start a New Club

If you are a current member of Sales Professionals International living in an area where there is not a club that is convenient to you, or if you are simply interested in helping the organization to grow, START A NEW CLUB! The general procedure is as follows:

1. Talk over the possibility of starting a new club with your current club president and the District Governor.
2. If given a green light, form an ad hoc committee to investigate locations and possible membership for the new club.
3. Find potential locations and potential new members.
4. Submit a brief proposal to the District Governor for approval.
5. If approved, make arrangements with the venue for the club (a restaurant or other meeting location).
6. Form a Board of Directors for the new club.
7. Adopt a set of by-laws (get the format from the District Secretary).
8. Recruit charter members for the club (at least 15).
9. Receive checks for the charter year from new members.
10. Submit the request to charter to the District Governor with your check for District dues.
11. Advertise your initial meeting widely throughout the entire organization.
12. Hold your initial meeting!!!
